Compatriots,
Hopefully everyone is aware that once again Evil has raised it's head in our great Commonwealth of Kentucky. In 1895, a Confederate Monument was placed in Louisville honoring our ancestors. The University of Louisville has grown and now encompasses the statue. At this time an attempt is being made to remove the Kentucky Confederate Monument from the University Of Louisville area because of the Isis mentality of cultural cleansing. The Mayor and President of U of L were hurriedly attempting to remove it before any action could be taken.
Fortunately Lawyers and our Kentucky Chief of Heritage Defense, were on the ball and managed to get an injunction to stop the removal of this statue temporarily. A court hearing is to be held May 25th and more information will becoming as we formulate our plans.
Our biggest need right now is that this battle is going to cost MONEY and more MONEY. Please stress to each Camp and member that everyone needs to dig in our Camp treasuries and pockets and donate to the Kentucky Heritage Defense Fund. We must work to stop these senseless attacks on our flags and monuments.
Please donate via PayPal on the Kentucky Division website ( kyscv.org ) or mail checks to : Kentucky SCV -- P.O. Box 583 - Pikeville, Ky. 41502, please add notation " Heritage Defense Fund" to your check. Remember donations can be made by anyone and they do not have to belong to the SCV.
John T. Suttles
Commander
